Real answers to what people ask us most. If your question isn't here, just call — we'll talk it through.
Every computer problem is different, so we never quote a price over the phone without seeing what's going on. What we can promise: the diagnosis is always free. Once we know what's wrong, we give you a flat, honest price before we touch anything. You decide whether to move forward — no pressure, no hidden fees.
No. The diagnosis is always free — whether you decide to move forward with the repair or not. We'll tell you what's wrong, what it costs to fix, and whether it's even worth fixing.
Most repairs are same-day when possible. Simple fixes like virus removal, a speed tune-up, or a password reset are often done in a few hours. Bigger jobs — motherboard issues, data recovery from a failed drive, or a full Windows reinstall — can take longer, but we always give you an honest turnaround estimate up front.
We do our best. Same-day is common for common issues — if you call in the morning with a slow computer, virus problem, or a basic hardware question, there's a good chance it's fixed by the end of the day. We never promise what we can't deliver, so if a same-day turnaround isn't realistic for your specific issue, we'll tell you.
All of them. Dell, HP, Lenovo, Asus, Acer, Apple (MacBook, iMac, Mac mini), Microsoft Surface, custom-built desktops, gaming PCs, business workstations. If we can get parts for it, we can fix it.
Yes — and we do it properly. Not just running one scanner and calling it done. We check startup entries, scheduled tasks, browser extensions, and the file system for the real source of the infection. Then we install proper ongoing protection so it doesn't come back the next time you visit a sketchy website.
If you've already called a "Microsoft support" number from a popup, tell us when you call. They may still have access to your machine and we'll check for that first.
Yes. We treat your data the way we'd want ours treated. For any repair that could risk data loss, we back everything up before we start whenever possible. We don't go through personal files beyond what's needed for the repair, and we never share or sell customer data. Period.
Yes. We recover data from failed hard drives, dead SSDs, accidentally formatted drives, corrupted partitions, and water-damaged computers. Success depends on how bad the damage is — sometimes everything comes back, sometimes partial, rarely none.
The single most important thing: if your drive is clicking, freezing, or the computer won't boot and you have important files — stop using it. Every restart of a failing drive makes recovery harder. Bring it to us and we'll give you an honest assessment at no charge.
If your computer meets Microsoft's hardware requirements, yes — and it's a good idea, since Windows 10 stopped receiving security updates in October 2025. If your computer doesn't meet the requirements, we'll tell you honestly. Sometimes a small hardware upgrade (like adding a TPM module or upgrading the RAM) makes a computer eligible. Sometimes it's not worth it and a new computer is the smarter move. We'll help you decide without overselling.
Yes. We handle small business tech for shops, offices, home businesses, and medical/professional practices across the West Shore. Services include: network setup and troubleshooting, multi-computer maintenance, backup systems (cloud and RAID), Windows Server, email and shared file systems, and emergency response when something critical breaks.
No contracts required — most of our business clients just call us when they need us. If you want a recurring maintenance arrangement, we can put one together that fits your size.
You don't pay a penny. If the repair isn't possible, or if it's not worth what it would cost (for example, an old laptop where the motherboard died and replacement parts cost more than a new computer), we'll tell you honestly. The free diagnosis stays free.
We handle basic phone and tablet troubleshooting: slow performance, battery issues, setup help, data transfer to a new device, and getting email/WiFi working. Our main focus is computers, so for things like cracked screens or major hardware repairs, a dedicated phone repair shop may be a better fit. See our phone & tablet page for specifics.
Our core service area: North Ridgeville, Westlake, Bay Village, Avon, Avon Lake, Elyria, and Sheffield Village. We also help customers in surrounding West Shore communities — just call and ask.
For weekend emergencies — a business server down, a critical data recovery, a ransomware infection you just discovered — call (440) 596-0009 and we can arrange onsite service across all our service areas. Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM.
If any of these happened: you called a phone number that appeared on a popup, you let someone from "Microsoft" or "Apple" remote into your computer, you gave them a credit card number to "fix" something, you got a refund that was "too much" and they asked you to send it back via gift cards or wire transfer — you were scammed.
Call us immediately at (440) 596-0009. We'll check your computer for lingering remote access, clean up anything they installed, and help you with the next steps for your bank and credit cards. See our scam alert page for how these scams work and how to avoid them.
Just call and ask. We'll give you a straight answer.
